Rasanara performs well in T-20 Asia Cup match

Odisha off-spinner Rasanara Parbin consolidated her position in the Indian team by bagging two wickets for the third time in a row today. Her figures of 4-1-8-2 helped India beat Thailand by 77 runs in their opening Group-A match of the Women T-20 Asia Cup Tournament at Guangzhou in China.
This was the third international match for Bolangir lass Rasanara, who played her first two in the ICC Women T-20 World Cup in Sri Lanka earlier this month.

Electing to bat, India made 109 for four in the stipulated 20 overs with skipper Mithali Raj being the top scorer with 28 runs. In reply, Thailand were bowled out for a paltry 32 in 19.2 overs.

BRIEF SCORE: India 109/4 in 20 overs (Mithali Raj 28; S Tippoch 2/19) beat Thailand 32/10 in 19.2 overs (M Meshram 2/1, R Malhotra 2/1, E Bisht 2/7, R Parbin 2/8, N Niranjana 2/9).
